Ludwig 70s vintage Gold vistalite 3pce shellpack.18″ bass drum This customized Ludwig set has a more compact size and sound which is ideal for smaller spaces, something Melbourne bands know a lot about. The Bass drum has been converted from a large 18″ floor tom. It’s had maple hoops added, with a rare stylish inlay.  I’ve left the internal damper inside the bass drum so you can dampen the volume of the playing head quickly and easily. As you would expect with drums that are almost 50 years old, there are some minor marks on the shells, which should not spoil your pleasure in playing. I’ve played many vistalite kits and once I discovered they sound best tuned a little tighter rather than looser, found they sound very similar to maple or birch. This is a rare set of sizes which you are not likely to see anywhere else in Australia! Drum sizes are; 18 x 16” bass drum 13 x 9” mounted tom and 15 x 12” floor tom. Used, cleaned, and in very good condition for their age.
