From past catalogue:
The new Shelly Manne Signature chrome shell brass snare drum features the famous Broadway snare strainer – it’s smooth, positive action is unsurpassed.
The tone, snap and response of this drum is the greatest.
Tone control, 20 wire snappy snares and plastic heads are standard.
Made in Illinois, Chicago in 1965.
Brass hoops.
Chrome over brass shell shows a bit of wear, some scratching from normal usage and mild corrosion as you’d expect with a drum of this age.
Some of the photos seem to have a small brown tint in places but there is no rust on this drum.
This rare snare plays very well and sounds fantastic!

He also contributed to the musical background of hundreds of Hollywood films and television programs.
In the 80s he recorded with many well known Jazz musicians.
