70’s Zildjian 20” Heavy Ping Ride

The 70’s Zildjian 20” Heavy Ping rides I have played over the years, like this one, are usually more versatile cymbals than many of the modern versions I hear, because they are normally big, awesome crashes as well.
And generally have a full fantastic bell sound to die for.

Plays and sounds like a dedicated ride until you really lay into it, then you unleash a monster crash.

This is truly a knock-out cymbal just fangin’ to be part of your kit.

Weighs only 2200 grams.

That’s a lot lighter than your common heavy later 70’s Ping
This is most likely a late 60’s/early 70’s before the production changed to heavier.
It’s a baby monster.
