I’ve been collecting drums for over 30 years, and realised recently that I have more than I need.

So, I’m letting some amazing kits, snares, and other drum gear go so it can be enjoyed by others.

Much of this gear is very rare, and you may not see items like these for sale again.

I’ve noticed that Carlton was a popular drum company in Australia in the 50s and 60s and every now and again I see one of their snares or kits in circulation.

They are similar in several ways to vintage Premiers from the same decades, and sonically different from American vintage drums.

The distinctively English construction and superb sound quality of this snare is stylish and impressive.

This chrome-over-brass 14 x 5” snare has a mirror bright, chromium-plated finish, and a parallel snare mech, which provides an incredible snare tone.

It also has diecast hoops, 8 very cool-looking lugs, and the original damper is not present, so you can muffle it with zero rings or moon gel when required.

There is also some corrosion present on the hoops and lugs which is quite normal for a 60s yr old snare drum which should not spoil your pleasure when playing it.
