These 3ply Maple shells are very similar to the ones used on Vintage Ludwigs and Rogers drums.

They have a clear lacquer finish over the Maple interiors and sing beautifully, loudly and fully, with a long decay thrown in for no extra!

And they have a much cooler and more subtle tone than thicker Maple shell drums.

Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich are the 2 best known drum legends associated with Slingerland quality and sound, and there have been many famous drummers in the 60’s and 70’s who used Slingerland kits with great musical success.

And of course in Australia, we can’t  forget Mark Kennedy ( our most musical and exciting Rock drummer / Session player of all time! ), who used Slingerland drums, in the 70’s, on Ayers Rock’s momentous and Orgasmic rock fusion, self titled Album.

Made in Niles, Illinois USA when American drums were the Koolest!

By the way folks, we would normally sell drums like these for around $1450 because:   A. The wrap is extremely rare and cool and B. Slingerland drums with original fittings and legs, are becoming harder and harder to find.

But, in this case, the rare wrap is noticeably scratched and marked, and shows obvious signs of wear, so you may want to recover these drums or get them professionally buffed and polished. As a result, we’ve made the price very affordable at just $995 instead of $1450 to give you some leeway in your budget, in case you’d like to get them rewrapped or polished.

Drum sizes are:

22in x 14in bass drum, 12in x 8in and 13in x 9in deep mounted toms and 16in x 16in deep floor tom. ( And optional 14in x 5in deep Gene Krupa 70’s Brass shell Slingerland snare drum. )
