Shell is 3ply construction in African Mahogany & Maple with Maple reo rings

Full extension throw-off strainer assures positive snare control at a flick of the stick.

Heavy full-flanged metal hoops provide great rigidity.

 

8 lug Paramount snare made in Chicago in 1939 with that legendary Ludwig vintage sound.

Funnily enough the wording on the badge says WFL Drum Co. Chicago; U.S.A; WM F. Ludwig President.

(Probably the most information ever squeezed onto a drum badge in history!)

 

One of the rarer Ludwig vintage snares you’ll see.

In great working order with some minor corrosion and signs of wear on the lugs and hoops as you might expect from something that’s almost 90yrs old.
