Highly reflective chrome shells can be tricky to capture accurately since they reflect like a mirror.
1st pic is showing the chrome much more clearly .
Last two pics reflecting the white background onto the shell so it does not show the chrome as accurately.
Bottom snare wires.
No internal top snare wires which allows the shell to ring more freely than if there was an internal top snare wire.
Fantastic sounding brass shell.
Shell is in outstanding condition
(and has been cased for the last couple of decades)
which is rare for this drums age.
These metal shell Premier marching snares have a different & superior character compare to the 3ply birch versions which are also a lot more common.
When undampened this rings like a MoFo.
These rare snare drums can be used for Military Bands, Metal, Hard rock, Solo percussion work, and whatever else your musical imagination comes up with.
When Page and Plant (Zeppelin) toured Oz in ’96, Michael Lee their replacement for Bonham was using one of these metal marching snares and it sounded unbelievably good.
Used and in excellent condition. [SD 0946]
